  1. Which fork is better for me, the “Scapula” or the “Scapula SP”?

    The “Scapula” is an extremely stiff fork for race applications. The focus is on stiffness; comfort was not the main priority. The “Scapula SP”, on the other hand, was developed with the least possible weight in mind. Stiffness is still above average by far, and more than enough for any road bike fork ridden hard. We recommend the “Scapula” fork for riders above 85 kg (187 lbs).

  2. Are 1” versions available?

    We are afraid not! World class frames with 1” steerers have become rare. Developing and optimizing a 1” version just wouldn’t pay.

  3. I weigh about 85 kg (212 lbs). Is the “Scapula” strong enough for me in the long run?

    There is no rider weight limit for the “Scapula”. The enormously stiff steerer and fork legs make the “Scapula” the obvious choice for heavier riders looking for a light fork.
    For safety reasons, the “Scapula SP” was limited to a maximum rider weight of 85 kg (187 lbs). It came out after simulations of more than 100,000 km strong as on the first day. Further long term tests should enable us to set the limit higher in the future.

  4. How will the “Scapula” change the steering geometry of my bike?

    When designing the “Scapula’s” geometry we took into account most commonly used high-end racing frames. A length of 371 mm (dropout to crown race) is comparable to most common race forks. Equally, the 44 mm rake is about average. Thus, depending on the fork currently used in the frame changes in steering geometry are either non existent or negligible.

  5. Do your carbon steerers work with any stem?

    All stems with an interior diameter between 28.6 and 28.7 mm can be used. However, as with any carbon fork it is of highest importance that all edges are carefully cleaned from any burrs and that the maximum torque limit is adhered to.

  6. What diameter has the Spina Scapulae at the top?

    Nominal diameter is 44 mm, but a smooth transition can also be reached with 45 - 46 m Ø head tubes.
