Cyclical load test of the Scapula SP

We are proud to be building the world’s lightest race fork. Working at the limit of what is technologically possible obliges us to test the forks under all possible conditions. All models are tested far beyond what is necessary or required by law or industry standards. Safety is our top priority!

Lateral loads – Our in-house “torture chamber” tests the fork’s reaction to side loads. Despite the enormous lateral stiffness the fork can withstand extreme lateral deflection without breaking. Enormous forces are involved in this test, far beyond the forces seen in the toughest races. Enjoy an ultra-light fork with a confidence inspiring unsurpassed level of safety!

Brake forces – In these tests the fork is tested under angles most similar to those encountered in race applications. The fork’s steerer is fixed, while a hydraulic press attached to the dropouts and the brake bolt simulates braking forces. This setup tests the fork’s reaction to panic-stop braking across its entire length. Both static maximum load tests as well as dynamic cyclical load tests are performed. As in all other tests, the “Scapula SP” shines in the torture chamber as well and demonstrates its enormous reliability.
